Marijuana Seeds Pennsylvania: The Ins and Outs of Growing From Seed
When most people think of Pennsylvania, they think of the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and the birthplace of this great nation. Little do most folks know that there is much, much more to the Quaker State than the famous documents Americans are guided by.
Bordering Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, Ohio, New York, New Jersey, and the Canadian province of Ontario, Pennsylvania is 46,055 square miles of diversity. Politically, Pennsylvania has had just as rich a history as any other state you could put it up against. With landmarks such as Gettysburg National Military Park and Independence National Park as well as the Liberty Bell to serve as stark reminders of the not so distant past, there is no shortage of patriotic homage taking place in the Independence State.
On a lighter note, Hershey Park was built in 1906 as an avenue of escape and entertainment for Hershey Chocolate workers and has since evolved into a full-blown amusement park. The State Museum of Pennsylvania is another grand attraction and is located on the elaborate Pennsylvania State Capitol Complex grounds in Harrisburg. Some historians may also like to visit Valley Forge, the home of General Washington during the American Revolutionary War. Benjamin Franklin himself gave his blessing to the Nation’s first zoo in Philadelphia. Although the zoo was slated for 1858, plans were delayed until 1874 because of the Civil War.
Fans of Pennsylvania will probably know that Philadelphia has been voted the most liveable city, twice! Also worth mentioning is that every state park within Pennsylvania’s borders asks for no admission fee to explore, so anyone so inclined to check out the Oil State’s pristine wilderness may do so free of charge. Bring along a joint with your favorite sativa while you are checking out the state parks to keep you going. If you are more into watching sports, you might like to take that doobie to see the Phillies or the Pirates take on their baseball rivals or watch the NFL’s Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Eagles take to the gridiron. Art enthusiasts will appreciate the Warhol Museum or why not visit the oldest hospital and hospital library in the country.
The climate around Pennsylvania is considered a mix of humid continental and humid subtropical. This, coupled with the diverse topography makes Pennsylvania a wonderland for outdoors enthusiasts, as well as historians, artists, and sports fans. Boasting swimming, kayaking, boating, fly-fishing, hiking, climbing, and more, the Keystone State has it all.
There is another form of industry which this wonder-mix of a climate lends to perfectly and that is agriculture. Greenhouse and nursery products are the main economic contributor to the state, with the mushrooms of Kennett Square being a very close second. With all this aptitude for cultivation and with unparalleled expertise in greenhouse growing and plant protection, when weed is finally made legal for the masses, the Steel State will be light years ahead of the game.
There is also much to be said about Pennsylvania’s education system. With schools like Pennsylvania State University, Carnegie Mellon University, and Leigh University, 3 of the top schools in the country, you know that there are some bright minds in the state. Penn State and others offer some amazing agricultural, botanical, and horticultural programs in order to keep up with the demands of the number one tax donor by supplying highly educated (cannabis?) curators.
Pennsylvania has history and culture, amazing academia, numerous places to visit, and is free to explore. We should also mention that weed is almost legal there! Through the great efforts of Governor Tom Wolf and his team over the last few years, medical patients can enjoy natural medicines and recreational users do not have to worry about going to jail over a bag of weed. Pretty soon, people all over, especially medicinal marijuana consumers, are going to be allowed to grow their own, free of harassment and fear of prosecution. This is great news and puts the state of Pennsylvania and its pot loving residents in a wonderful position.
